Caddie Brain (she/her) is an independent creative technologist, producer and journalist. Her anti-disciplinary practice explores how communities can co-design, reappropriate and reclaim technologies to centre their histories, stories, and languages online. She has produced countless hours of radio, exhibitions, augmented reality audio tours, machine learning prototypes, and recently supported Arrernte young people, artists and linguists to make their own emoji set. Her work has earned numerous awards including recognition at the Webby Awards and Prix Ars Electronica. She recently completed a Master in Applied Cybernetics and now heads up Wikimedia Australia.
