Lauren Caroll Harris

Lauren Caroll Harris  is a curator of artist’s moving image and experimental short film, working predominantly in digital exhibition.

She writes cultural criticism for such outlets as Guardian Australia, The Saturday Paper, ABC radio and television, The Monthly online, The Lifted Brow, Meanjin, Overland and Kill Your Darlings. She’s written for US outlets like The Baffler’s online vertical, The Toast, Documentary magazine and Cineaste.

She also the author of the monograph, ‘Not at a Cinema Near You: Australia’s Film Distribution Problem’, published in Currency House’s Platform Papers series in 2013.

In 2017 she worked as the assistant editor and online development manager at RealTime, a contemporary art publication in Sydney, and completed my PhD in Australian cinema and film distribution at UNSW.
