SAMAG are delighted to join with Sydney Opera House in presenting Louise Herron and Karen Brooks Hopkins, both executive leaders of internationally renowned cultural institutions, who will lead a conversation about their successes and challenges in driving a culture of change and excellence in their respective organisations, and will respond to questions from our guests. Karen will also introduce BAM… And Then Hit Me, her new memoir of her 36 years at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. BAM… And Then Hit Me details key strategies for cultural institutional success, including fundraising, leadership, and to how to manage complex organisations. The book is also a fascinating behind-the-scenes view of the world-famous, and longest-standing American, performing arts centre.
